Chapter Sixteen
Sarah:
I woke up in my bed, I had spent all night with Zack again and got home around 1. I heard a car outside of my window in front of the house.
"What the?", I asked myself confused.
There was knocking on my door.
"Sarah, open the door!", yelled Brent. I took my time and then opened the door.
"How long does it take you to open the door Sarah?", he asked me tapping his foot.
"I can take however long I want to open my bedroom door.", I said with an attitude.
"Why is there a limo outside unloading suitcases?", asked Brent trying to be serious.
"What?", I asked confused.
"The chick out there is pretty fine though so I don't particularly mind.", said Brent in his own universe. We walked down the stairs and I opened the door.
"Aunt Carrie!", I yelled after I realized who it was. I dashed down the stairs in record time and ran straight into her. Brent stood there with an awkward look on his face.
"Hi, pretty girl, how are you?", she asked hugging me multiple times over.
"How are you Auntie!", I yelled excited.
"That's not important, I'll be here all week. Seeing my neice is most imporant.", she smiled at me and kissed my forehead.
"This must be Brent.", she said holding out her hand.
"Aunt?", he asked looking at me.
"Yes Brent, Auntie Carrie.", I said slowly. They hugged after shaking hands and Carrie turned back to me.
"Yes, I have made it a goal to visit you and the girls every Spring Break now.", she said smiling and taking off her sunglasses.
"I'll have to tell Kaitlyn and Becky that you're here, they'll be ecstatic.", I said pulling out my cell.
Before long Kaitlyn and Becky were already over and giving hugs and kisses to Carrie. She was the best aunt ever.
"I have gifts for you girls.", smiled Aunt Carrie as she pulled three boxes out of the trunk of the car.
"I heard gifts!", yelled Kaitlyn jumping up and down from excitement.
"I heard it too!", yelled Becky laughing.
Aunt Carrie looked at each of the dark blue boxes and read the labels, giving us each the correct one.
"Don't open them yet.", she said looking at each of us with the boxes in our hands. Each box was dark blue with a pretty white ribbon wrapped around them.
"Okay go ahead open them up", she said happily.
We removed the glossy ribbon slowly and then tossed off the lids of the boxes.
"They're directly from Paris girls.", she said looking very pleased with herself. I smiled and looked down into the box. There was a beautiful dark blue and black dress sitting in the box looking back at me there was a beautiful pattern on the torso and then bottom was like a ballerina skirt, it just flowed all the way to the ground.
I looked at Kaitlyn's and her's was a gorgeous satin red with a torso like a thousand diamons. They were scattered all over the front and it looked like stars on a satin red night sky.
I took Becky's box from her and there was a light green top and then a black flow skirt like mine, it had a black pattern almost like a ribbon across the top part. The light green almost resembled gold it was a beautiful color.
"Aunt Carrie they're absolutely gorgeous!", we all said at the same time, kind of ironic.
"You're welcome girls, anything for my nieces.", she said still smiling her gleaming smile.
"Go change Sarah and we'll all go to Hollywood for lunch.", she said putting her hands together and looking at me. I was still standing there in the front yard in my pajamas.
"Sarah honey, go give this to your mother.", she said handing me a small jewlery case. It was for a diamond necklace.
"She's going to love it.", I said without knowing what was inside.
"I know she will.", Carrie replied. I took the case inside and set it on the end table by my parents bed. She'd be home soon from filming on the east coast. I walked down the hall and into my bedroom, I heard Kaitlyn and Becky outside talking to Carrie. I pulled some clothes out of my closet and changed quickly, I put on some make up and fixed my hair.
"Brent, I'm going with Auntie, watch Jaylen until mom and dad get home!", I said yelling down the hall towards his room.
"Whatever.", I heard him say back.
We all got into the limo and her driver drove to the private air strip, there was a black iron gate that only opened automatically if you swiped a membership card. We pulled through the gate and the driver stopped the limo so we could get out.
"It's that one over there girls.", said Carrie as she pointed to a huge Black Jet liner. The door to the jet opened slowly by itself and a captain stepped out.
"Good Morning Captain Berkley.", said Carrie hugging him gently.
"Hello Ms. Underwood, and guests", he replied back.
"Oh Evan, this is my niece Sarah.", she said pulling me against her side.
"There's definately a resemblence.", he said chuckling.
"These are my non-blood related nieces, Kaitlyn and Becky.", said Carrie pointing to each of them as she said their names.
"Welcome aboard girls.", he said hugging each of us and then leading us onto the jet.
He was a really cute captain actually, he had wavy blond hair and he rarely took off his sun glasses and when he did he had vibrant blue eyes.
"Evan, I'm taking my nieces to lunch down in Hollywood today so let's get going.", she said smiling and walking towards the steps.
"You got it Ms. Underwood, I am at you service", he said leaning down to kiss her hand.
He was incredibly sweet, Aunt Carrie had a little admirer.
"Guys, did you see the way Evan looked at my Aunt Carrie?", I whispered to Kaitlyn and Becky as we sat down on the white couch inside the jet.
"I know I saw it, they would be adorable together.", said Kaitlyn back to me.
Kaitlyn:
"We should get them together.", said Becky smiling.
"Okay, then Sarah you talk to Evan and Becky and I will do our thing and convince Auntie to have dinner with him.
"I'll talk to him.", Sarah said back.
"We'll set the plan in motion when we get back from our day in Hollywood.", said Becky putting her hand in the middle. We all put our hands in and winked at each other.
"Let's do it", we all yelled in our cheesy sort of way.
---------------
Becky:
We arrived at a restaurant that looked like it had just jumped out of a magazine. We stood in the large dining room by the podium where a man with reservations told us to follow one of the waiters. We were escorted out of the elegant dining room through a hallway to a private room.
"Room number again, Ms. Underwood?", asked the waiter. His hair was slicked back and he stood straight up with one arm behind his back.
"12, sir.", said Carrie handing him the small card. There must be a card for everything.
"Aye, right here Ms. Underwood and guests".
He gestured his arm towards the door leading us into a huge private room.
He left the room closing the door it was beautiful just like everything else was here.
"Lets order, I'm starving.", I said sitting at the table and taking a menu.
"Try the citrus salad with extra mandarin slices. It's to die for.", said Carrie smiling. Aunt Carrie was a vegetarian so we tried not to eat any meat around her. The waiter came back and took our orders, q"uickly writing it down and handing us glasses of sparkling water.
"I can't believe my little girls are going to be graduating soon.", said Aunt Carrie with a sad face.
"I couldn't wait.", said Sarah tapping one of the forks on the table.
"I know how high school was for me, I couldn't wait to leave either.", said Auntie as the waiter came back again.
"That was really fast.", said Kaitlyn looking astonished.
"They work extremely fast here and it's only salad it shouldn't take too long. We all took our forks and took the first bite. It was delicious just as she said it would be.
It had spinach leaves that were crispy and delightfully fresh, and there was a sauce, but, it was a fruity sauce and it was absolutely delicious. There were apple slices and orange zest along with a little bit of lemon. There was some honey, mostly from the secret sauce. Some ginger and slices of pear and mandarin. It was absolutely delicious.
"Whenever you visit Aunt Carrie you better bring me salad and only this salad, nothing else unless it's chocolate cake or something.", said Kaitlyn laughing.
"I'll be sure too sweetie.", replied Carrie. We finished our early lunch and got back to the airport.
"There's a girl football game today.", I said outloud.
"Yes!", yelled Sarah.
"We better make it back soon, it's already noon.", said Aunt Carrie looking at her watch.
"It starts at two.", said Kaitlyn looking at her cell phone.
"If we get back fast enough we can change when we get there and be ready in no time.", said Sarah standing up. I felt the plane taking off and we all sat in our seats.
Sarah:
Kaitlyn winked at me and I stood up. I went up to the Captain's area.
"Evan?", I asked after closing the door behind me.
"Hi there hun, sit in that seat right there and buckle up please.", he said softly. He handed me a headset and started talking to me through it.
"What is it Sarah?", he asked me as he looked into the sky.
"I know you have a crush on my Aunt.", I said looking at him as he controlled the plane.
"Is it really that obvious I like Carrie?", he asked turning a little red. It was weird to see a grown man blush.
"Yes it is. I think you need to sweep her off her feet and take her to dinner.", I said in a slightly demanding voice.
"What if I ask her to dinner and she says no? Don't you think it'd be weird considering I work for her, there would always be that awkward feeling between her and I.", he said in a sophisticated voice.
"Evan, I have a good feeling about you two. I know it'll work between you guys.", I said confidently.
"I will, I am trusting you here hun.", he said glancing at me.
"It will work Evan.", I said before walking out back to everyone else. Carrie was texting on her phone and Becky was playing Mario Kart with Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn tossed me a remote and patted the ground next to her so I would sit down. We were picking out characters for the game.
"No, I get Mario and little Mario!", I yelled to Kaitlyn.
"Fine then, I get Luigi and little Luigi!", Kaitlyn yelled back.
"I get the dinosaurs!", chanted Becky. The game started and we were battling for the end of the race. Kaitlyn Becky and I all crossed the finish line at the same time.
"We're about to land.", said Evan coming over the loud speaker. We stood up and turned off the game as we sat in our seats and waited for the wheels to hit the ground.
---------------
We all sat in the limo as we were being driven home. "We'll all meet at the high school as soon as we change, we have to hurry because the game starts in thirty minutes.
"Okay, I'll see you guys soon.", said Kaitlyn getting out of the limo and running inside. We then drove to Becky's house.
"See you soon Sarah.", said Becky getting out of the car and running to the front door. The car stopped in front of my house and I hugged Aunt Carrie as we both got out. I dashed inside and up the stairs into my bedroom. I opened my dresser drawers and took out my football uniform, I quickly changed, tied my hair back and put on eye black.
I dashed out into the living room and saw Carrie with my parents.
"I'm going to the game, love you guys.", I grabbed my keys off the hook and got in my truck. I stepped on the gas and hurried to the high school field. Kaitlyn and Becky were getting out of their cars and grabbing their football bags. I parked by them and grabbed my bag and started running with them. We made it to the bench and we were gasping for breath.
"There you are!", yelled coach.
"Sorry, sorry.", we said together.
"Change into your cleats and get moving girls.", said coach blowing her whistle and motioning us out onto the field. We were playing the guys football team and the guys never wanted to go easy. It was going to be a close game, especially with my team.
I was QB for most of the game and then I took on right guard and rushed the ball to touchdown multiple times.
"Can someone please play some music!" I yelled. A speaker was brought out onto the field and more and more people gathered around the field filling all the chairs. They started playing rock music, perfect for a football game.
"Time out!", I yelled and I heard a whistle as my team gathered in the middle. I was at QB and Kaitlyn was at right guard, I trusted her there, the game was coming down to the wire and we needed a change of plans.
"I'm keeping Kaitlyn at right guard and putting Becky at left guard.", I said to them all.
"Who are you throwing it to then?", asked someone.
"I'm going to throw it to Kaitlyn, so Kaitlyn you better run as far out as you can and I want every girl who isn't protecting me to be protecting Kaitlyn at all costs. We all put our hands in and broke apart. When the guys saw Kaitlyn at Right Guard they knew I was throwing to someone else, that's exactly what I wanted them to think. They all started to form around Becky as we got in position.
I had been practicing with Kaitlyn, she wasn't the best at catching but I put my faith in her.
We were down to the last quarter with ten seconds left, the guys were ahead by three points and if we made it, we would win.
We had the whole student body out on the hill watching now. We were all ready on the 50 yard line and we waited for my signal.
The guys saw Taylor at Wide Receiver and Kaitlyn at Right Guard and knew automatically I was going to throw to either Becky or Taylor, the plan was going exactly as intended.
"Down!", I yelled looking to Kaitlyn.
"Set!", I looked over to Taylor.
"Hike!", I yelled and set the play in motion.
I took three quick steps back as the team came forward to tackle me, the clock was ticking fast and my heart beat so loud I heard it in my ears.
10, 9, 8, I faked it to Taylor and turned to Kaitlyn, I barely had enough time to see if she was ready, I saw her jersey over by the 30 yard line and I threw it to her with as much strength needed. As soon as the ball left my grip I crossed my fingers.
"Please catch it Kaitlyn.", I whispered to myself as I watched the ball fall in the sky.
7 Seconds left. It was silent until I saw the ball land in her grip and the crowd erupted into cheers as she took off running towards the goal. Everyone was surprised, she was pretty surprised herself, I saw it in her eyes as she turned and ran to the end zone like her life depended on it.
5 Seconds Left and still counting down.
"Run Kaitlyn!", I yelled as I ran after her.
The time was ticking fast and she was at ten yards with 3 seconds left.
2 Seconds Left switching over to 1.
She ran straight across the touch down line and everyone got louder. I ran up behind Kaitlyn and hugged her tightly.
"You did it!", I yelled.
"I know! Your planned worked!", she yelled back hugging me. Becky and Taylor collided with us and then the whole team. We started jumping up and down and yelling like the fair winners we were.
The guys still looked shocked and they kicked the dirt and their faces fell in shame. They unlocked the gates and everyone was running onto the field. The whole crowd lifted Kaitlyn and I up off the ground and were chanting.
"Kaitlyn and Sarah!", they yelled and I looked at Kaitlyn. We were both beaming with excitement at our win. I grabbed her hand and we held our hands in the air yelling. Everybody who had been cheering for us were screaming and yelling. It was like a huge party on the football field.
Everyone was giving us high fives as we entered the locker rooms. There was an even bigger yelling spree going on in the locker room, everyone kept congratulating us and we kept congratulating everyone else.
We changed into shorts and kept our winning jerseys on. As we walked into the parking lot there were news crews and tons of people. The whole town of Paradise took the boys versus girls football game seriously and it was a huge thing. This was the first time the girls had won two times in a row, it always went back and forth. Never had one team won twice in a row, this was a huge thing in our town.
We finally made it out of the parking lot and drove home to change and get freshened up for the after party always held at the school gym. We felt slightly bad for the guys but the victory was still cascading down on us, we were all very happy with ourselves.
I drove over to Kaitlyn and Becky's houses and picked them up for the after party, they got in still wearing their game jerseys and we took off to the gym.

Chapter Seventeen
Kaitlyn:
I woke up in bed with a massive hangover. There wasn't supposed to be alcohol at the after party but nobody ever listened to the rules. The whole team just partied all night but we deserved it for our amazing win against the guys.Kaitlyn:
I got out of bed and took a shower. I finally took off my winning jersey and set it gently on my bed. I was so proud of myself. It was Aunt Carrie's birthday so I had to get dressed and head over to Sarah's house. I put on a nice dress and curled my hair. I opened my closet and found Aunt Carrie's birthday present on the top shelf.
"Good morning sis.", said Collin walking into my room.
"What do you want?", I asked glaring at him.
"I can't say hi?", he asked looking offended.
"No because everytime you're nice to me you usually want something.", I said grabbing my purse off the dresser and holding Aunt Carrie's present in my free hand.
"I want to go with you.", he said looking at me with pleading eyes.
"No.", I said blankly.
"Please sis!", he said like a little boy.
"Fine. Just don't bug me while we're there.", I said walking out of my bedroom and towards the garage.
Becky:
Donnie pulled into Sarah's driveway in his hummer and put the car in park.
"Let's go babe.", he said getting out of the car. I slipped out of the hummer and walked into the front door. I handed Carrie her birthday present and she set it on the table with the other gifts.
"I'm so glad everybody is showing up.", she said happily. I noticed her holding Evan's hand a few times and I smiled everytime, it was cdute to see her happy with a good guy that everybody seemed to like so far.
Kate:
"Everybody come sit down, dinner is ready!", I yelled out into the living room where everyone was. I made a vegetarian dinner, no meat. Just like Carrie wanted.
Everybody sat down at the table and began bubbling up with conversations.
"We need to sing Happy Birthday.", said Sarah standing up.
"I almost forgot.", said Matthew walking to the wall and turning off the lights. We all began to sing.
"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Carrie. Happy Birthday to you."

Chapter Eighteen
-1 Week Later-
Kaitlyn:
It was our first day back from Spring Break. I sat at the kitchen table eating breakfast when my mom came in, her stomach was growing extremely fast.
"Hi honey.", she said grabbing a chair and sitting next to me.
"Did you and dad pick names yet?", I asked curiously.
"They say you know what to name them when you see them."
"I hope so.", I said getting up and heading over to the garage.
"Have a good day Kaitlyn.", she said as I closed the garage door. I unlocked my car door and got in. I backed out of the driveway and started driving to school. I pulled into the parking lot and looked for Sarah's truck. Where was she? I got out of my car and locked it. Becky pulled into the spot next to mine and got out.
"Where's Sarah?", asked Becky walking over to me.
"That's what I was wondering.", I said back.
"Did you try texting her?", asked Becky digging through her purse for her phone.
"She usually texts me in the morning when she's on her way.", I said going through my text messages.
"I know, this isn't always like her.", said Becky pulling out her phone.
"Did you get a text?", I asked.
"Yeah, she's with Zack.", said Becky putting her phone in her pocket and walking towards the school.
"Who's Zack.", I asked catching up to her.
"This boy she met, he's 23 and as I hear very cute.", she said putting her hair behind her ear.
"How come I never heard about him?", I said with my jaw dropping.
"I don't know. We're gonna be late.", said Becky rushing into the school's doors and down the hall to her class.
Taylor:
Becky came dashing into class just as the bell started to ring.
"Becky what's wrong?", I whispered as she sat down next to me. She looked like she was about to cry.
"Donnie texted me this morning and told me to meet him behind the school.", she said with tears forming in her eyes.
"Oh no.", I said hugging her. Donnie always broke up with his girlfriends behind the school, that was how he always did it. Everybody knew that and I could tell that's what she thought.
Kaitlyn:
I sat down in my seat silently. Sarah wasn't here so I had nobody to talk to and Becky wasn't telling me something, I could tell.
"Kaitlyn Ambrosio.", called out my teacher.
"Here.", I said flatly. I could tell there was drama on the rise once again.

Chapter Nineteen
Sarah:
I sat in Zack's living room, the fire was going and I held a cup of warm coffee in my hands, it was a cloudy April morning and our mountain city was getting the worst of the cold weather. It looked as though it were going to rain.Sarah:
"It certainly isn't acting like the end of May.", said Zack coming into the living room from the kitchen.
"No it isn't.", I said pulling my knees against my chest.
"Do you want a blanket sweetheart?", he asked sitting down next to me.
"No I'm fine.", I said back sipping my coffee.
"Are you sure?", he asked again.
"Yep, I'll be okay.", I said leaning back.
"Are you tired?", he asked laughing.
"A little.", I said closing my eyes. I didn't want to go to school so I called Zack and he picked me up this morning.
"It is only ten, I could understand.", he said turning on the tv.
"Don't you have work?", I asked sitting up.
"Not until 2:30 hun.", he said sitting back.
"Lucky.", I said getting up and taking my empty coffee cup into the kitchen.
"I know, that's how I like it.", he yelled from the living room.
"I bet.", I said washing out my coffee cup. He stayed quiet. I walked around the kitchen slowly and found papers scattered across the table, I was curious and I started looking through them. I pulled out a piece of paper that looked like a certificate of some kind.
A marriage certificate? I scanned it over and found his signature.
Zack and Angela Armani.
I looked at the date. March 15th, 2011. A month ago? I dropped the certificate on the floor and walked back into the living room.
"I'm going to use the bathroom.", I said walking down the hall. I closed the door not caring to lock it and looked for a window big enough for me to slip through. I found a small window above the bathtub and I reached up to open it.
I got it open and I slipped through the window and grabbed the vines growing up the side of the house. I jumped down and ran towards my house. I didn't care to look back, he lied to me.
Zack:
"Sweetheart?", I yelled towards the bathroom. It had been awhile and I hadn't hear any noise.
"Sweetie are you okay?", I yelled again. I quickly got up and went to the bathroom, I threw the door open and couldn't find her anywhere. I walked down the hall and looked into the kitchen, there was a piece of paper on the floor. I picked it up and looked at it.
"Oh no."

Chapter Twenty
Sarah:
I lied down on my bed and started to feel the tears come down my cheeks, I was scared and upset. Did I just fall for a guy who flaunts girls and then drops them dead? A guy who knows when he's getting attention and will either cut you off or lead you on and then cut you off. I did fall for him.
Kaitlyn:
I saw next to Jb in math and we listened to the teacher lecture. I looked over at Becky, she was tapping her pencil and she looked extremely nervous. I felt really bad for her, she still hadn't told me what was wrong.
"Jb do you know what's wrong with Becky?", I whispered to him.
"Donnie is meeting her behind the school.", he said back. I stayed quiet, I knew exactly what was wrong now.
I started tapping my pencil waiting for the clock to tick by faster. The bell finally rang and Becky got up slowly. She wasn't excited about what was about to happen.
Becky:
I put my books in my bag and walked out of the classroom, I didn't want to know what came next. I never wanted to be the one behind the school in Donnie's spot. I walked around to the back and saw him leaning against the wall. I stopped in front of him and took my gaze off of the ground.
"Becky.", said Donnie flat.
"You're breaking up with me.", was all I managed out.
"Exactly, I want to date other girls. Goodbye.", he said quickly and walked off. My jaw dropped to the ground and I felt the anger bubbling deep inside me. Kaitlyn ran up behind me.
Kaitlyn:
"I'm sorry Becky. He's a jerk, he really is.", I said hugging her tightly. She stood there like stone, she was mad but extremely upset all at the same time. She didn't know what to do and I could feel the emotions inside bouncing off the walls.
